Re: Internationals
Proper Test series that Aussies v Ireland. Great win for Ireland using 31 players throughout the series.

Don't understand ABs playing a series against a woeful French team, they might as well have had Italy as opponents.

What an absolute load of shit Ronald.

Poor decision, but we won by 35 points.

Remember, we also had a fair try disallowed by that dickhead George Ayoub.

Sometimes games have CLEAR turning points that can change a contest into a 'cake walk'.

Re: Internationals
I suspect schools rugby union in Australia is confined to some private schools (ie equiv of UK public schools) in Queensland, NSW & Canberra.
When I lived in Perth rugby union was a minority interest of expat Saffas , Kiwis & people from Sydney.
Any kid of any size who can handle a football will get hoovered up by AFL at 17

Re: Internationals
Very funny seeing the try scored purely because the ref blocked off a frog, but was hardly going to make a difference anyway seeing as they got spanked again by 35 points.

Not hard to see why they are always the only team to keep up a good standard, as if you go to New Zealand, they're obsessed by rugby where as it's not exactly a sport commonly played in schools elsewhere other than probably oz.

Fair play to them, always done it with flair and been decent to watch.

Jonah, Jonah, JONAH!!

What CAN I say??

This16 man rugby game is really working well for you.

Re: Internationals
Virtually all coaches get the bullet. I'd sooner watch paint dry than some of the Exeter games I've sat through this season. Fine, maybe they'll evolve like Saracens did into playing some great rugby, but what they churn out at the moment would never work at international level, for similar reasons that EJ's style probably won't work again either.
I can see Baxter coaching the international side, but not yet.

Re: Internationals
Cockerill? He got the bullet at Leicester for a reason.

I don't agree at all about the Exeter style of play, I enjoy watching them. What he has created at that club is phenomenal, they have something special, and he's more than ready to try to do the same for England imo.

Re: Internationals
I think it's too early for Baxter. He needs to show he can move Exeter on from the dour shite they play, which won't cut the mustard at international level.

If Deano wouldn't take it, and he won't, it has to be Richard Cockerill for me. Won titles at Leicester and totally changed their playing style. Doing a good job up in chilly Jocko land now.

Above all, for me, it has to be an Englishman.

Time for Rob Baxter.

Re: Internationals
Saw briefly in the paper this morning, the frogs have apparently got some abso monster prop and beat the Kiwis up in the pack. Which is always good.

Re: Internationals
missed the semi finals but apparently the french pack is very powerful, supposedly dominated the kiwi forwards. should be a tough test with france at home too

I saw that mate, cheers. Apparently both us and the frogs have really promising sides.

Re: Internationals
Big Billy V broke his arm yesterday, same one he came back from in April...

Mako's gone home for family reasons, Ellis Genge has done his knee. Alex Hepburn flies in for the last test. Should have been there to begin with, imho.

Re: Internationals
Same thing happened when he was at Saracens, by all accounts, Miike.

im not a fan of player power in any sport but the players look like they've had enough of him, they'll probably deny it but the body language doesn't look good

Re: Internationals
Jones, and England under Jones, have been massively found out. There were plenty of Aussie posters BTL predicting with quite eerie accuracy how things would turn out as soon as he was appointed.

Let's face it, his big plan was to get the Vunipolae properly fit and conditioned for international rugby and play with POWER. 'Cos England can't play any other way, apparently. Worked great, until big Billy started getting injured. I think EJ's got pretty much everything wrong on this tour.

Selection - wildly wrong; well he's been selecting poorly for a while, but this takes the abso biscuit; preparation for playing at altitude has plainly gone really well too; tactics - fucking clueless; use of subs, especially yesterday - abso shambles; his dealings with the press have been shocking too really. Mako and Itoje weren't playing like local club players for the Lions last summer.

While he might sort some of this out, I can't see how he can possibly turn the whole thing round. When your this far gone, it's probably time for the boys upstairs to cut their losses.

Northern Sold 11:36 Sun Jun 17
Re: Internationals
The indiscipline yesterday was a disgrace....maku, Hughes and Itohe were like local club players with what they was doing...fine the cunts

East Auckland Hammer 9:43 Sun Jun 17
Re: Internationals
Well, if he stays much longer England will be worse off than when he started.

I expect they're probably already back down to 6th in the rankings and likely to sink lower if they lose the 3rd test.

It's pretty much what happens with Jones' rugby teams.
